Major research interests

• Applied superconductivity and cryogenics: thermal-hydraulics in super-conducting cables and magnets for fusion reactors
• Plasma-wall interactions in tokamaks (divertor, etc.)
• Computational Fluid Dynamics for fusion reactors (blanket, first wall, etc.)
• Thermal-hydraulics of liquid metals for Generation IV fast fission reactors

Emphasis

• Development of mathematical models, mainly based on partial differential equations, with critical assessment of underlying hypotheses and limits of applicability.
• Implementation in computer codes, verification of numerical convergence.
• Validation against experimental data.
• Collaborative effort on the conception and realization of experiments at different laboratories.

Research work
