1988: Master degree in Civil Engineering at University of Catania.
1990: visiting researcher at the L.N.C.C. of Rio de Janeiro (Brasil).
1994: Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.
1996: visiting researcher at the Michigan Technological University (USA).

Career:
1994-1998: Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.
1998-2004: Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.
2004-: Professor of Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino.
