Fabrizio Lamberti - Biography (PDF)

Fabrizio Lamberti received the MS and the PhD degrees in computer engineering from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2000 and 2005, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Control and Computer Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy.

He has authored and co-authored more than 150 technical papers in international books, journals and conferences in the areas of computer graphics, human-machine interaction and intelligent computing.

He is an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Computer and of the IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing, and Senion Editor of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine. He is a member of the Editorial Advisory Board of several other international journals and of the Taylor & Francis's Encyclopedia of Computer Science and Technology.

He has served as General Co-Chair and Program Chair of the 7th International Conference on Intelligent Technologies for Interactive Entertainment (INTETAIN2015), and has been involved in the TPCs and review activities of other national and international conferences. In 2019, he will serve as the Program Co-Chair of the 39th IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics (ICCE2019).

He served as Co-Guest Editor of the Special Issues on Emerging Trends in Education and on Computing Education & Learning Technologies (IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing) and on Advanced Interaction and Virtual/Augmented Reality (IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine). He has been also the Co-Guest Editor for the Special Issues on Remote Visualization (Computing and Visualization in Science), Virtual Puppetry: New Frontiers of Digital Character Animation (Entertainment Computing) and Detection and Tracking of Targets in Forward-Looking InfraRed Imagery (Sensors).

He is currently serving as Co-Guest Editor for the Joint Special Issue on Innovation in Technologies for Educational Computing (IEEE Transactions on Learning Technologies and IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing)

He is a senior member of the IEEE and the IEEE Computer Society. He serves as Secretary/Treasurer for the IEEE Computer Society, Italy Chapter.
